Collection and Use of Personal Information

You may be asked to provide your personal information anytime you are in contact with Circletones. Circletones shall combine the personal information with other information to provide and improve our products, services, content, and advertising. You are not required to provide the personal information that we have requested, but, if you chose not to do so, in many cases we will not be able to provide you with our products or services or respond to any queries you may have.

What personal information we collect

  • When you create a Circletones account, register for newsletter, purchase a product, register for a class at Circletones, contact us via our digital channels (Social Media & E-Marketplaces) or participate in an online survey, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, address, phone number, email address, contact preferences, and credit card information.

How we use your personal information

  • The personal information we collect allows us to keep you constantly informed on Circletones’ latest product announcements, promotions and upcoming events. If you don’t want to be on our mailing list, you can opt out anytime by updating your preferences.
  • We also use personal information to help us create, develop, operate, deliver, and improve our products, services, content and advertising, and for loss prevention and anti-fraud purposes.
  • From time to time, we may use your personal information to send important notices, such as communications about purchases and changes to our terms, conditions, and policies. Because this information is important to your interaction with Circletones, you may not opt out of receiving these communications.
  • We may also use personal information for internal purposes such as auditing, data analysis, and research to improve Circletones’ products, services, and customer communications.

 

Collection and Use of Non-Personal Information

We also collect data in a form that does not, on its own, permit direct association with any specific individual. We may collect, use, transfer, and disclose non-personal information for any purpose. The following are some examples of non-personal information that we collect and how we may use it:

  • We may collect information such as date of birth, occupation, language, zip code and location so that we can better understand customer behavior and improve our products, services, and advertising.
  • We may collect information regarding customer activities on our website, Social Media, E-Marketplaces and from our other products and services. This information is aggregated and used to help us provide more useful information to our customers and to understand which parts of our website, products, and services are of most interest. Aggregated data is considered non‑personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

If we do combine non-personal information with personal information the combined information will be treated as personal information for as long as it remains combined.

Cookies

Circletones’ websites, email messages, and advertisements may use cookies. Cookies help us better understand user behavior, tell us which parts of our websites people have visited, and facilitate and measure the effectiveness of advertisements and web searches. We treat information collected by cookies as non‑personal information. However, to the extent that Internet Protocol (IP) addresses or similar identifiers are considered personal information by local law, we also treat these identifiers as personal information. Similarly, to the extent that non-personal information is combined with personal information, we treat the combined information as personal information for the purposes of this Privacy Policy.

By continuing to use Website, you consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

In addition, you consent us to collect PAYMENT on the items sold on your behalf.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

Circletones reserves the right to modify and change the Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes to this policy will be published on our website. You should check this Policy each time you access our website so as to be aware of the most recent applicable version of the Policy.

 

Billing Policy

 

1. Fees and Services

 

Joining and setting up a shop on Circletones is free. Circletones does not charge fees to list an item for sale. Circletones does charge a percentage of the sale price when the item sells. When you list an item you have an opportunity to review and accept the fees that you will be charged. Circletones’s Billing Policy, which is subject to change, is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. Changes to the Billing Policy and the fees for Circletones's services are effective immediately after posting the changes on the Site to the fullest extent permitted by law, or otherwise immediately after the minimum period permitted by law. Circletones may also choose to temporarily change the Billing Policy and the fees for Circletones's services for promotional events (for example, free listing days); such changes are effective when Circletones posts the temporary promotional event on the Site or otherwise notifies you of the change.

Fees and Termination: If Circletones terminates a listing or your account, if you close your account, or if the payment of your Circletones fees cannot be completed for any reason, you remain obligated to pay Circletones for all unpaid fees plus any penalties, if applicable. If the seller's account is not paid in full and becomes past due, the seller risks penalties such as the suspension of privileges and/or termination of the account and other collection mechanisms (including retaining collection agencies and legal counsel). YOU HEREBY EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT CIRCLETONES MAY CHARGE YOUR CREDIT CARD, OR ANY OTHER METHOD OF PAYMENT, ON FILE FOR ANY AND ALL OUTSTANDING OR DELINQUENT FEES OR BALANCES AND WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS AGAINST CIRCLETONES FOR EXERCISING THIS RIGHT (INCLUDING, FOR EXAMPLE, USING YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION TO AID IN COLLECTING PAYMENT). If you have a question or wish to dispute a charge, contact Circletones. 

 

2. Selling fees

 

Who says you can't have a better experience and pay less for it? We have built a marketplace focused on serving musicians and gear lovers, leveraging our extensive knowledge and experience combined with superior technology. We charge a modest selling fee of 5% that helps us invest in Circletones to sustain our community’s continued growth.

a. Fees for Circletones.com

Selling fees for Circletones.com are 5% of the total value of the transaction, including shipping.

  •         You pay only when your item sells. Your fee is based on the total selling price, inclusive of all costs except sales tax.
  •         For Circletones.com, you pay only 5% of the total price, with a RM1.00 minimum.
  •         No listing fees, listing renewal fees, or monthly membership fees.

 

b. Fees Based on Total Price


Fees are based on final sale price of an item as well as shipping fees on an order.

c. Billing of Fees and Statements


At the beginning of the month, each seller is emailed an invoice detailing the amount due. A seller must pay the amount due in full within 15 days of the date of the invoice. If you are a Circletones Payments user your fees will be deducted from your payout(s) rather than billed on the first of the month. If you use Circletones Payments and you receive a statement credit in a particular month, your seller fees may not be deducted and, instead, will be added to a end-of-month statement for which you will be auto-charged.

3. Payment Processing Fee

 

There may be additional fees included in the use of the platform depending on the services you use. They may include:

  •         Circletones Payment Fees – RM 1 or plus 3% of the transaction total whichever is higher.

4. Change In Services

 

Circletones may, at Circletones's sole discretion, change some or all of Circletones's services at any time. In the event Circletones introduces a new service, the fees for that service are effective at the launch of the service.

5. Additional Information

 

Unless otherwise stated, all fees are quoted in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR). In certain situations, including but not limited to a void or invalid transaction and returns, Circletones may issue a credit for the applicable fees to a seller's billing statement. You are responsible for paying all fees and shipping fees based on accurate weights and measurements and applicable taxes associated with using Circletones. Circletones allows sellers to indicate applicable tax jurisdictions which will be collected from buyers through Circletones at point of sale. Circletones keeps accepted payment information on file.

How Long Does it Take to Receive my Payout?

Depending on your specific bank, payouts may take 1-3 business days to appear in your bank account after initiated by Circletones.

If a deposit falls on a weekend or holiday, the payout should be sent on the next business day.

First Circletones Payments Sale:

You will receive a notification of your first payout being approved within 2-3 business days after confirmation of the delivery of the item according to the tracking information. Following that, it may take your bank 1-3 business days to process that deposit.

After your First Circletones Payments Sale:

After your first sale, your payouts will be initiated once tracking is entered and the item is "in transit" via the shipping carrier.
Payout times may vary based on existing feedback ratings, sales volume, Preferred Seller status, price of the item, and shipping destination.

I am still not seeing my Payout. What are the next steps? 

1. Head to your  page to ensure you entered the correct bank information and are checking the correct account.

2. Review our Circletones Payments payout timeline to ensure your order meets the payout criteria.

3. Bank info incorrect? Don't sweat it! Just go ahead and add the correct bank info on your  page, then contact us once you're ready to have this payout resubmitted. Keep in mind that bounced payouts can take up to 7 days to return to us.
